Story

The Vinicultural Society explores clonal selections, varietals, and the incredible terroir of Sonoma County. In keeping with the adventurous spirit of Buena Vista’s founding, we are proud to bring you this delicious 2022 Count’s Selection Syrah. Our Syrah was produced entirely from fruit grown in the Old Winery Vineyard, located just a stone’s throw from the historic Buena Vista Winery. This vineyard lies atop gradually sloping soils contained within the boundaries of Agoston Harazthy’s original Buena Vista planting. The Huichica Loam soil series provides an ideal environment for expansive root growth, with drainage allowing for naturally restrained vines.
