This blend has a velvety yet structured mouthfeel, showing Cabernet Sauvignon's firm tannins balanced by the plush fruit of Syrah and the spice of Grenache. A long and persistent finish with notes of tobacco, smoked cedar, and a hint of mission fig, reflecting the unique touch of Mission grape.

Founded in 1857 in Sonoma, Buena Vista Winery is a California Historic Landmark and the birthplace of California wine. The original wine caves have withstood phylloxera, Prohibition, earthquakes, and, most recently, the October 2017 Nuns fire. When the Los Angeles County fires broke out in January 2025, we understood all too well the devastation fire can bring to a community. In an effort to support LA, we bottled and released the inaugural vintage of The Captain, a wine dedicated to the unwavering courage of firefighters.
