Antal's Selection

Zinfandel / 2022

This 2022 Zinfandel pours a vibrant magenta-purple in the glass, bursting with generous aromas of mixed berries, stone fruit, purple florals, and a touch of vanilla spice. Plush and juicy on the entry, the palate unfolds with ripe fruit purity before leaning into more savory tones of tea leaf and subtle earth. Supple tannins and bright energy carry through the finish, making this an expressive and inviting wine.

Story

Named in honor of Count Haraszthy’s grandfather — the original spark of curiosity and adventure in the Haraszthy family — Antal’s Selection Zinfandel pays tribute to that pioneering spirit. Sourced from the Russian River Valley, where warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for Zinfandel, the grapes were harvested on September 17, 2023. Fermented in open-top fermenters with gentle hand punchdowns, this bold and expressive wine was aged for 15 months in 17% new French and American oak before bottling
