Dessert Wines
This rich dessert wine offers aromas of dried fruits, plum and vanilla with a touch of soft baking spice. Generously coating upon the palate, velvety flavors of caramel, hazelnut, and vanilla creme brillee are followed by notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. This intense, unique dessert wine is delightful on its own but also makes a perfect pairing for cheese plates or dark chocolate truffles.

Crafted from the first grape of California and produced by the first premium winery of California, this is a wine as rich in tradition as it is in flavors and aromas. Made from the Mission grape, this is an opulent dessert wine with carmelized flavors and exquisite texture. This wine honors the heritage of Buena Vista where premium wine began in 1857.
Angelica wine harkens back to the early days of winemaking in California. The Mission grape, brought over by the Spaniards and originally planted for use as a sacramental wine in Catholic missions, is thought to be the first grape of California. Named after the city of Los Angeles, Angelica was a specialty wine in which the Mission wine was fortified with Brandy.
This wine pays homage to the first grape of California with our Angelica. Harvested from the Somer Vineyard, the grapes were picked and cold soaked before being fortified with Brandy on the skins at the first sign of fermentation. The wine sat on the skins for 7-10 days before being pressed and barrel aged in solera style.
