As we acknowledge the January anniversary of the historic and society-altering beginning of prohibition in 1920, we are compelled to continue sharing the story of this impactful event with new audiences. Through a live virtual screening with Emmy award-winning television and documentary producer, Carla De Luca Worfolk, we are thrilled to share her independent film, “America’s Wine: The Legacy of Prohibition,” sponsored by the Bancroft Library. Worfolk acted as the Director, Executive Producer, and Co-Writer of this beautiful piece that includes rare imagery and footage never seen before. View the Film Trailer »
As host, Jean-Charles Boisset, a French vintner with generations of winemaking history, will invite viewers to watch the film from their homes with a glass of wine in hand. Following the screening, he will host a Q&A with Worfolk herself, allowing guests to interact and share comments.
